I was very fortunate to get an invitation from Irene Ang of Fly Entertainment for this launch.
The truth was that I would love to meet her in real life, spend some time talking to her as she is one of people I look up to and am inspired by.

So as she tweeted about her events, I took the chance to raise my hand and say ‘me! me! I want to go!!’

Invitation

I got my friend +Tiffany Yong to RSVP too so she could go with me to the event as she was a much social and much out-going person than I am, so I felt very comfortable speaking and making friends with people at the event with her by my side.

I thought that since she’s really into acting, and she could just take the chance to meet people in the same industry; well, it’s the same for me as I am too working my way to get myself either published or into a scriptwriting gig. She’s an angel!

It is quite rare for us to attend such high profile event and it was really a good chance for us to take a peek into this world which we like very much. Irene was also very kind to allow us to be there to observe the event and also to see for ourselves, how these people speak, behave and even make conversations.
3 Angels
We arrived at the store early to be greeted by these angels at the reception.
We were being presented with a wristband upon registration.
Philip Stein Event Wristband
This is a very interesting wristband. It does not just serves as an identifier for the event participant, but this “watch” actually contains a grid that works wonders in an augmented reality app on iPhone. 
The range of Philip Stein watch faces will appear on the grid on your hand, helping you to choose the most suitable watch face or rather, choose your favourite watches just a flick of your hand.
Guests
The store is located on the 3rd floor of Ion Orchard, just next door to Agne B and Kate Spade.
Guests slowly trickles in as we were served drinks and wine. Many important guests were there to grace the event and celebrate the special moment.
We managed to chat with Joanne from Fly Entertainment and Dollei  from Makeup Entourage. They are a nice and friendly lot to talk to!!
The entire event was planned and executed by Fly Entertainment. 
Many celebrities were also present that night. As I do not notice much of the local entertainment scene, I didn’t recognise much celebrities compared to Tiffany.
However, I do recognise Nadya Hutagalung!!
She was the emcee host of that night. 
Dorning in an emerald green dress, she looks absolutely stunning!!!

Nadya Hutagalung opened the evening with a simple introduction of the brand and the watches. 
I got to know about Philip Stein watches from a US magazine and was very intrigued by the idea that a watch can do so much for the well-being of a person.

Ribbon Cutting
Without a do, the invited VIPs snipped the ribbon with their gold scissors to officially open the doors of the store. This was my first time seeing a ribbon cutting event. I was really amused by the entire ceremony.
However, simple, it was absolutely symbolic.
We are officially open!!!
Lions’ Welcome
How can we open a store without a Lion Dance!
The Lion Dance is a must-have tradition in Asian countries, like Singapore, when you are opening a store for business. The Lions symbolises luck and prosperity and the drums and gongs create a powerful beat the Lions dance to, to chase away the bad luck and welcome the good!
This cheerful pair of Lions dance around playfully in front of the store and interacted with the VIPs which created a very joyous scene!
The pampering begins…

After the store has officially opened, we were treated to an after-party at ion Sky, an observation gallery at the 55th floor of ion Orchard Mall.

Jazzy Snazzy

We were treated with live jazzy saxophone solo at the doorstep of ion Sky.
He definitely had set the mood for relaxation! I felt so comfortable and pampered, like a Star!

Yummy food!!

At the after party, more wine, drinks and fabulous canapés were served.
You can tell by the lack of photos that it was so delicious that I ate it all before I could remember to snap a photo.
I love the scallop, truffle mash potato, tofu salad, and the fruit tarts!
They were sooooooo yummy~

The Skyline

The skyline from the 55th floor of ion Sky is truly spectacular, however the pictures I took just couldn’t do justice.

Limited Edition Watch!

I found my favourite watch:
This limited edition all handmade Philip Stein watch!!

Only 25 pieces world-wide, this watch is painstaking hand crafted by the watch maker themselves, each piece alone takes 3 months to make!

There is of course a price tag to match such delicate craftwork:
$25,000!!

Well, it is too expensive for me.
However, one can dream big right?
Who knows? In the future, I may own one of these great well-being, limited edition timepieces.
That’s a goal I’ll look forward for.

We managed to speak to Irene before we left the place.
Although it was a brief meeting, I was able to see how her team work together to pull off this fabulous event.

I actually managed to take a photo with Irene in front of the store before it opened, however, Tiffany’s laptop broke down and all her photos were lost. 🙁
I didn’t use my cam then because I didn’t want to hold Irene back from her work.

However, thanks to Jeannette and Irene of Fly Entertainment; they sent me a copy!!!

Finally, I want to thank Irene for the fabulous evening!
It was truly an eye-opener.
