Enjoy an awesome view of Singapore skyline (without the heat) from an low as, say S$1.50?

During my stressful weeks of exam preparation, I stumbled upon this place during dinner.

It is a  food court in Marina Square Shopping Mall.  I was quite surprised because this food court has been there for ages and has been through two renovations, if I remembered correctly and all those times I never thought to go there to have dinner!

The unique portion of this food court is that it has a long panoramic picture window that opens the entire food court to the view of the entire skyline with the newly built Marina Bay Sands Resort by the left and the Esplanade by the right.

You can stroll down by the waterfront, but the heat from the local weather will accompany in that stroll.
If you really need to beat the heat, then yes, this is the best option I have found; so far.

Since it is a food court, this place is public and anyone could just come in, sit down, buy a cup of local coffee and enjoy the spectacular view. Really, who needs to pay expensively for food to enjoy a great view?

Well, I was there for dinner so I had a saba fish set from the Korean stall.
This cost SGD6 and I asked for extra helping of cabbage and ikan bilis…. (Whahahaha! Me Greedy!)
The Saba fish is deep fried with a crispy skin and smooth creamy fish meat underneath.
It was really sedap (yummy)!!!!

After dinner, I wondered around the food court to find the lowest price item there.
I found it; it’s the local coffee/tea at SGD1.50. It’s pricey compared to other heartland coffee shops for us local, but for SGD1.50 to sit there at the table, enjoying coffee, maybe with an additional side of toast in the afternoon to enjoy that spectacular view, I felt it was totally worth it.
Oh, to enjoy the view, make sure you drop by before the sun sets because the lights from the stall will reflect on the black window glass in the evenings.
You can check sun set timings in our local papers or on our National Environment Agency Website.
Update:
A few days back I went back to the food court. It was almost closing when I ordered my Saba set.
The stall owner gave me an extra piece!
SCORE!
Cheers~
